Katie, Carlos and I met last year at Katie’s brothers weddings (Katie & Billy). I was so touched when they contacted me saying how much they enjoyed what I did for their brothers wedding and how much they would love to have me along for their day. Being able to photograph families more than once and watch couples grow is a fantastic complement to me, and I really enjoy getting to know everyone better through time.
Traveling for weddings is really fun and special to me. It always offers a new change of pace and scenery that I just get all excited about. And this past Saturday brought me to the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield WI. It was just beautiful, along with the entire day itself. The sun was out all day, no bugs, these two could not have been more in love or adorable and of course witnessing the way these two became husband and wife was spectacular. I really enjoyed all of the things that they did to customize this day for them and bring out Carlos’ family traditions. Together they really thought so much about how they wanted the day to go and how to make it their own.
Thank you both so much for having me be involved in this special day of yours. I really am so excited to share this sneak peek with you! Congratulations.

A quick little pit stop at the home where Katie grew up! Katie has one amazing voice. So her surprise gift to her husband was a recorded song that she sang. It was so beautiful and as you can see, Carols was so surprised. I just melt over these kinds of things! <3
Thank you so much Tara for 2nd shooting with me and keeping me company during our drive.
